originally hailing from warrnambool, Jacqui moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in music, heavily influenced by her love of dynamic female artists such as Hayley Williams, Kate Bush and Florence Welch. Jacqui began building a name for herself as an energetic front woman and powerhouse vocalist, performing in multiple bands before eventually embarking on her solo career in 2021. Following a string of sparkling single releases, in 2023 she dropped her debut EP Enthusiasm– a clear demonstration of her ability to craft songs that speak directly to the heart of the listener. Jacqui’s music embraces both retro,‘80s synths, 90’s driving guitars and modern, textured production. Her uniquely memorable melodic hooks and layered vocal harmonies dance atop grunge guitars and soaring synths, giving Jacqui a very distinct sound. A proud recipient of the Darebin Songwriters Award, Her artistry continues to gain recognition as she was a finalist in the Listen Up Music songwriting prize, won Forte Magazine’s emerging artist award and triumphantly snagged the win in Strictly Live’s recent Battle of the Bands competition.

Having completed a successful EP tour, played multiple festivals and opened for artists such as Cowboy Malfoy and Hayley Mary, Jacqui has shared her music with eager fans across the country, delivering electrifying performances that leave a lasting impression.

Jacqui continues to evolve as an artist, and is dropping her next single I Love Me in February 2025. as she develops her craft even further with each new release – Jacqui Lumsden is only just getting started.
